Room without Walls

An 1880s palazzo-like neoclassical mansion, towering over the surroundings, overlooks a private park. The exterior terrace, Élise's creation, creates a link between the house and the park.

The thirteen-metre long interior hallway, leading towards a view of the garden, is reproduced and extended towards the outside, another thirteen metres slowly descending into the green grass by means of 'Greek' stairs. A huge, detached concrete sculpture installed on the lawn mimics the shape of the dining room, freed from the confinement of walls.
